• Ph.D. degree and publications record in Biotechnology, Microbial Physiology, Food Science, or a related field. 
• Expertise in fungal metabolism. 
• Previous experience with submerged and solid-state cultivation.
• Experience in fungal fermentation process development, handling bioreactors, and knowledge of fungi genetic engineering is appreciated.
• Ability to work in a group as well as independently. 
• Good communication and excellent time management skills. 
• Ability to plan and carry out complicated research tasks, and to report results in oral and written forms.
